These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of statebasics.com and any purchase from State Basics ("State Basics," "we," "us"). By using our site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Not affiliated with any university

State Basics is an independent clothing brand. Our products are inspired by U.S. states and places. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or licensed by any college, university, athletic program or conference. Any reference to a place is geographic only.

Products and limited drops

• Our collections are released in limited drops for a set time. Once a drop closes, those items may not be available again.

• Every item is printed to order by our production partner.

• We try to show colors, prints and sizing accurately, but colors can look different on different screens, and small variations in print placement are normal.

• Please check the size guide on each product page before ordering.

Pricing and payment

• Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change at any time before you order.

• Payment is processed securely through Wix Payments, including Apple Pay. We do not store your full card details.

• If an item is listed at the wrong price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

Orders

An order confirmation email means we received your order, not that it has been accepted. We may cancel any order, for example because of a pricing error, suspected fraud or a production issue. If we cancel, you will receive a full refund.

Discount codes

Discount and loyalty codes have no cash value, cannot be combined unless stated, are valid only for the drop or dates listed, and may be ended at any time.

Cancellations

You may cancel an order within 48 hours of placing it by emailing contact@statebasics.com with your order number. After 48 hours, your order may already be in production and cannot be canceled.

Shipping

• Orders usually arrive within 1–2 weeks in the United States, including production and shipping time. These are estimates, not guarantees, and busy drops or carrier delays can add time.

• We mainly ship within the United States. Some international destinations may be available at checkout, depending on what our production partner supports.

• International orders: you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or fees charged by your country. These are not included in our prices and are collected by your country's customs agency, not by us.

• Please make sure your shipping address is correct. We are not responsible for orders sent to an address entered incorrectly at checkout.

All sales are final

Because every item is printed to order for a limited drop, all sales are final. We do not offer returns, refunds or exchanges for change of mind, ordering the wrong size or color, or fit preferences.

Problems with your order

We will help resolve your order if:

• Wrong size: you received a size different from the one shown on your order confirmation.

• Missing or lost: your order shows as not delivered or appears to be lost in transit.

• Damaged or defective: the item arrived damaged or with a printing defect.

Email contact@statebasics.com within 30 days of delivery (or of the estimated delivery date, for missing orders). Include your order number and, for wrong or damaged items, photos of the item and its label. We will review it and work with you to make it right, which may include a replacement, store credit or refund at our discretion.

Text messages and emails

If you sign up for drop alerts, you agree to receive automated marketing text messages from State Basics as described on the signup form and in our Privacy Policy. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Customers may also receive order emails and marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

Our designs and content

All designs, graphics, photos, text and other content on this site belong to State Basics and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce, resell or use them without our written permission.

Using our site

You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorized access, use bots to buy limited items, or buy products for unauthorized resale in bulk. We may cancel orders or block access for anyone who breaks these rules.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Our site and products are provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, State Basics is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which State Basics is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. Orders are governed by the Terms in effect when the order was placed.
